Tina and Jodie Gaston report that they have been accepted as missionaries with Greater Europe Mission (GEM) and hope to serve with church planters in England following a time of intercultural training in Canada this summer.

Tina, a 1999 Erskine College sports medicine graduate, said she and husband Jodie, a pastor and 2003 Erskine Seminary graduate, began their overseas missionary experience with short-term service in Wales. When they felt called to be full-time missionaries, “We thought that meant returning to Wales, but God has called us to go where He needs us most,” she said, explaining that an opportunity opened up in England instead.

As they continue to raise support, they ask for prayer “that we would continue to seek God’s will and be faithful to serve Him wherever we are called and that God would give us a passion for those we are called to serve.”

The Gastons have two children, Hollis and Aedyn.

“Our hope is to be in the UK by September so that our children can start school at the beginning of the new school year there,” Tina said.
