Members of the Erskine College Athletic Training Students Organization (ATSO) volunteered Nov. 4 at Covenant Baptist Church in Anderson, assisting church members with preparing food for distribution in the community.

“They packed macaroni and cheese meals and oatmeal,” ATSO President Megan Moore said. “In two hours they packed more than 1,500 meals.”

Moore, a senior athletic training major from Sumter, said ATSO members enjoyed working alongside church members and are looking forward to their next service project.

She explained that ATSO members “increase their knowledge in athletic training by attending conferences and seminars” and the organization also encourages students to volunteer in the community.
