‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ presented Nov. 17-19

Students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to the Erskine Players production of Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest.

The play will be staged in Lesesne Auditorium. Evening showings are Thursday, Nov. 17 and Friday, Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m. A matinee will be offered Saturday, Nov. 19 at 2:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Rebecca Pearson ’14 will direct the play. Pearson, who majored in English with a concentration in theater and a minor in art history, teaches English at Laurens District 55 High School, where she also assists with the drama club.

The cast includes David Bates, Dwight Bozeman, Hope Crenshaw, Iris Gadsden, Jordan Joseph, Andrew LeGrand, Maya Moorman, Ben Powell, and Rachel Rivers. Actors serving as understudies include Laura Coleman, Mikayla Gregory, LJ Morgan, Imani Parks-Williams, and Cassandra Thompson.

Tech director for the play is AnnaTaylor Hydrick, and the crew includes Laura Coleman, Logan Franks, Spencer Gazzaway, Halley Ham, Matt Henning, Jason Saliba, Amanda Stevenson, and Cassandra Thompson.
